Job Description

The Legal Counsel will provide legal support in corporate, commercial law and privacy topics mainly to Shiji affiliate in Spain. In close cooperation with the rest of the Privacy & Legal Team, you will also give support to other Shiji affiliates worldwide.

The portfolio of tasks and responsibilities will be broad, ranging from corporate and contracts law to compliance and legal operations. This job is an ideal position for young lawyers to gather experience and grow – in a very successful, fast paced, international Group.

As a Legal Counsel, you will:

  • Provide legal support for corporate housekeeping;
  • Draft and negotiate contracts;
  • Handle contract disputes with clients and third parties; 
  • Support in drafting guidelines and policies;
  • Support internal processes operated by the Privacy & Legal Team (e.g. roll-out of contracts, managing of legal data and register filings);
  • Be part of projects aimed at further improving processes and efficiency of the Privacy & Legal Team.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Review and negotiations of various NDAs, SaaS agreements, and data protection agreements with clients, suppliers and partners;
  • Assist on privacy matters such as data subject requests;
  • Assist with the development of training materials;
  • Review and adjust company templates.

Qualifications

  • A Master degree in Law with a minimum of 3 years of experience in multi-national company or in a law firm with experience in New Technologies Law;
  • Excellent verbal and written English;
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to manage simultaneous projects under deadline pressure;
  • Flexibility and willingness to work on broad variety of legal matters and collaboration with various teams and divisions;
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a collegial, fast-paced environment.
