While expanding our presence in Europe we and seeking for a Team Lead Accounting and Tax for our Berlin location.

In your role you will lead and advise the accounting and tax discipline responsible for various entities in EMEA region and will be an active business partner to various groups in our fast-growing organization. You will support us with further improving the quality of financial compliance with building secure financial processes. Therefore, you will take ownership for all relevant accounting processes, collaborate closely with the local FP&A team and Finance teams of other continents. You will report directly to the Director of Finance Europe.

Job Description

 

  •  Direct lead a team of 2 accountants in DACH region.

  •  Main contact for accountants in other Shiji entities within EU region.

  •  Manage all accounting operation related processes such as AR, AP, Bank and GL.

  •  Overview and coordinate tax filings with external advisors and participate on annual audits.

  •  Manage and improve month- and year end process in accordance with local law.

  •  Execution of month and year-end ledger entries.

  •  Support on implementing group processes and internal control system.

  •  Take charge of ad hoc headquarters transactions / special projects.

  •  Report directly to the Director of Finance Europe.

Qualifications

  • At least 6 years’ experience in Finance and Accounting.

  •  Experience in managing and developing people.

  •  Strong financial knowledge (statutory reporting, tax filing, audit).

  •  Proven experience and in-depth knowledge of local GAAP (HGB), IFRS a plus.

  •  Experience in the successful execution of projects (e.g. audit, year-end closing) and good project management skills.

  •  Excellent communication skills, ability to flexibly adopt to diverse target groups.

  •  Fluent in English and German (written and spoken).

  •  Experience with accounting systems, Microsoft Dynamics NAV a plus.

  •  Working experience in fast growing technology company is an advantage.
