Job Description

We are seeking a full-time, reliable and organized Administrative Assistant to support a construction management project in support of a Federal Construction Project. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations at the field office and providing vital administrative support to the project team. This is an onsite role based in Beltsville, Maryland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary administrative point of contact for the field office
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and maintain meeting minutes as needed
  • Handle incoming phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional manner
  • Monitor and maintain office supply inventory, ensuring timely restocking
  • Manage document filing systems, both physical and electronic, to ensure accurate records
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of correspondence, reports, and presentations
  • Provide logistical support for office equipment and troubleshoot minor issues
  • Facilitate communication between team members and external stakeholders
  • Perform other administrative tasks as required to support the efficient operation of the field office

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree or higher preferred
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of administrative experience, preferably in a construction or engineering environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and MS Teams)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with construction or government contract projects is a plus

Additional Information

Work Conditions:

  • This position is located at a Federal Government field office in Beltsville, Maryland
  • Must be available to work on-site during a full work week
  • Standard work hours apply, 8 hrs. a day

Proposed Salary: $55 - 65k annual
