Sheladia Associates, Inc. (Sheladia), a minority-owned business established in 1974, is an engineering and architecture firm supporting U.S. government, state and county projects, as well as U.S. funded international projects and multi-lateral donor bank and host-country funded projects.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Civil Engineer to join our growing team in Rockville, Maryland. As a Junior Civil Engineer, you will assist in the planning, design, and execution of various civil engineering projects, working closely with senior engineers and project managers.

• Assist in the preparation of engineering designs, drawings, and specifications using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Conduct site visits and field investigations to gather data and assess project requirements
• Perform engineering calculations and analysis to support project designs
• Contribute to the development of project reports, cost estimates, and schedules
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project goals are met
• Assist in obtaining necessary permits and approvals from local authorities
• Participate in quality control processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Support senior engineers in project management tasks and client communications
• Stay updated on the latest civil engineering technologies and best practices

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
• 0-2 years of experience in civil engineering (entry-level position)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS software
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skill

Proposed Salary: $62-70k annual

Sheladia Associates, Inc. has made the best effort to accurately represent the pay range for this position, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and any applicable cost of living data relevant to the position/candidate.
