Sheladia Associates is seeking a professional Dam Specialist to join our team for an upcoming water sector proposal in South Sudan.

The consulting services aim to support long-term flood risk management planning and investment in South Sudan, to prepare feasibility assessments and design for key priority flood risk management infrastructure, to prepare bidding documents and to conduct supervision of project work to be implemented through international contracting practices.

The work involves extensive data analysis, stakeholder consultations, options assessment, independent reviews, feasibility studies, surveying, final design and construction supervision of selected water resources management interventions.

Specific Duties for this position will include but not be limited to

• Provide safety of dam, and associated themes
• Develop dam safety guidelines

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
• expertise in carrying out feasibility, preliminary design or detailed design studies for dam projects, with at least 15 years of experience in the mentioned areas.
• Should be a member of a recognized professional body and in good standing.
• Prior Experience in the Region/Sub-Saharan Africa.
