Job Description

Sheladia is searching for a dedicated and experienced Architectural Reviewer to join our team in Largo, MD. This is a contract position but may develop to full or part time employment. This job is largely in office, but some remote work is possible.

Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To:

  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary teams to review architectural plans and drawings for various projects.
  • Review construction plans, drawings, specifications, and change orders for completeness, accuracy, and consistency with contract documents.
  • Assess the architectural designs for feasibility, functionality, and compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Provide insightful feedback and recommendations to enhance the integration of architectural aspects within engineering projects.
  • Conduct review meetings and prepare summary reports.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in architectural trends, technologies, and construction techniques to improve project outcomes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Strong knowledge of architectural principles, building codes, and regulations.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and communicate effectively with engineering teams.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to address potential issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • A passion for innovation and a drive to contribute to cutting-edge projects that shape the future of our communities.
  • Ability to do plan reviews online using online review software.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Architect licensure in the State of Maryland or ability to quickly get licensed.
  • Previous experience in reviewing architectural and engineering projects.
