Role: Senior Health & Safety Advisor
Location: Midwest Office, Limerick with travel to sites Nationwide
Due to continued growth and the award of new contracts, Shareridge is seeking an experienced Senior Health & Safety Advisor to join our expanding HSQE team.
The role can be based from our Midwest office in Limerick, with frequent travel to sites nationwide. This is a key position supporting the safe delivery of civil engineering and utilities projects, working closely with project teams, site management and client stakeholders to promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with best practice and legislative requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintain and implement Shareridge’s health, safety, quality and environmental policies, procedures and management systems.
Prepare and communicate method statements, Safe Plans of Action, toolbox talks, risk assessments and health and safety plans.
Provide practical HSQE advice and guidance to management, site teams, safety representatives, employees and subcontractors.
Coordinate health and safety training, inductions and records for employees, agency personnel and subcontractors.
Carry out regular site inspections and audits, report findings and ensure corrective actions are completed promptly.
Lead accident and incident reporting and investigations, identifying root causes and implementing controls to prevent recurrence.
Compile safety file information, support project handover and contribute to health and safety tender documentation.
Promote a positive safety culture and support Shareridge’s commitment to an incident- and injury-free workplace.
Manage EHS Insight, ensuring documentation, safety statistics and reporting requirements are accurate and up to date.
Deliver group HSQE initiatives, SOPs and continuous improvement actions across assigned project teams.
Liaise with clients, external stakeholders, the EPA, HSA, RSA and other relevant public bodies to maintain compliance across site operations.
The Ideal Candidate:
Minimum 4 years’ HSQE experience in similar role, preferably within utilities, civils or main contracting.
Relevant health and safety qualification.
Strong working knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation.
Full clean manual driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide as required.
Excellent written and verbal communication, reporting and stakeholder engagement skills.
Strong organisational, prioritisation and problem-solving skills.
Experience in gap analysis and implementing practical improvements.
Flexible, proactive and comfortable supporting teams across multiple sites.
Motivated, diligent and committed to maintaining high safety standards.
Proficient in English and eligible to work in Ireland.
