Location: Limerick  

Shareridge, one of Ireland’s fastest-growing civil engineering companies, is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join our dynamic team working on our utilities and public realm construction projects in Limerick.

What You’ll Be Doing 

  • Lead and manage day-to-day engineering activities on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately and to programme. 

  • Carry out and oversee accurate site setting-out using Total Station, GPS and other relevant equipment. 

  • Manage site teams and subcontractors, coordinating work activities and ensuring quality standards are achieved. 

  • Review, interpret and work from drawings, specifications and technical information. 

  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, designers and project teams to resolve technical queries and support effective delivery. 

  • Attend site meetings and provide clear updates on progress, issues, risks and required actions. 

  • Prepare and maintain accurate site paperwork, records, reports and progress documentation. 

  • Monitor compliance with company quality, environmental and Health & Safety procedures. 

What We’re Looking For 

  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a site engineering role, ideally within utilities, civil engineering or public realm projects. 

  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline. 

  • Strong setting-out experience using GPS, Total Station and associated site equipment. 

  • Proven ability to manage site operations, subcontractors and competing priorities in a busy project environment. 

  • Confident communicator with experience dealing with clients, stakeholders, designers and wider project teams. 

  • Strong paperwork, reporting and record-keeping skills with excellent attention to detail. 

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project and general IT tools. 

  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong leadership and teamwork skills.
