Shaped is an API for developers to seamlessly add personalized ranking and recommendation into their products. These frictionless discovery experiences help end-users find what they want faster, and, consequently, grow conversion and engagement business metrics. 

Ultimately, our goal is to make AI accessible and we see machine-learning for discovery (e.g. TikTok "For-You Page", FB “News feed” and YouTube "What to watch next") as the best place to start.

• Primary responsibility is to lead the design for the interface of the Shaped ranking platform — which allows developers to create bespoke AI models for recommendation system algorithms and understand their users data.  

• In this role you'll be working 1:1 with the founders of Shaped to ship product features over the next few sprints as well as craft a long term vision for the future of the company.

• This is not a role that requires pixel perfect designs created over 3 months — it requires a sense of when to move fast and slow so we can scale the company as a team  

• Passionate about AI, understanding human behaviour and AI explainability

• Open to wearing multiple hats occasionally: getting product design feedback directly from customers, designing graphics for marketing content, or helping with a blog post

• Experience working directly and closely with engineers and or a technical data team

• 6+ years of industry experience in a product design role 

• Operate well autonomously within a fast paced environment

• B2B, SaaS, Developer tools, Data/Analytics tools (Segment, Amplitude etc.) or AI design experience advantageous
