Job Description

About the role

Our Transport Management Team owns first-mile transport operations across Europe — planning, steering, and continuously improving daily transport flows together with our carrier partners. Punctual, high-quality deliveries are the heartbeat of our customer promise, and this role sits at the center of it.

As our new Freight Logistics Operations Manager, you'll take full ownership of your carrier portfolio from day one, work independently in an agile environment, and learn directly from experienced logistics domain experts.

Your main responsibilities: 

  • Own on-time delivery performance: plan, control, and monitor daily transport deployments and drive the department's KPIs for delivery quality (punctuality, equipment availability, and more)
  • Act as the go-to contact for internal teams, carriers, and other external parties on volumes, capacities, and delivery schedules
  • Procure ad-hoc transport capacity when volumes spike — negotiating quickly and keeping goods moving
  • Keep our transport management system accurate and up to date, so the whole team works from reliable data
  • Spot bottlenecks and inefficiencies in first-mile processes and help fix them

Qualifications

What you'll bring

  • A degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on experience
  • 2+ years in freight forwarding or transport operations at a logistics company
  • German at B2 level or above and business-fluent English 
  • A proactive, ownership-driven working style — you flag problems early and solve them independently
  • Ideally, experience in the e-commerce logistics operations
