Job Description
ServiceNow is seeking a driven Pre-Sales Specialist Solution Consultant focused on Integrated Risk Management (IRM). The IRM Solution Consultant will serve as the subject-matter expert, providing leadership and expertise to support customers throughout the sales engagement. You will partner with sales, solution consulting, and the rest of the ServiceNow ecosystem to achieve customer success through thought leadership and driving awareness. The role takes a consultative approach with customers and prospects to discover and map business outcome-driven solutions.
The IRM SC will participate in customer acquisition and retention by leveraging ServiceNow's Integrated Risk Management suite—spanning Risk Management, Policy & Compliance, Audit Management, Vendor Risk Management (VRM), Business Continuity Management (BCM), and Operational Resilience—alongside the broader ServiceNow portfolio. This is a hands-on Specialist SC capable of going wide and deep on solution development and positioning, with a strong ability to weave AI-driven capabilities into customer conversations.
What you get to do in this role:
IRM Solution Design & Customer Engagement
- Design innovative IRM solutions leveraging ServiceNow's Risk Management, Policy & Compliance, Audit Management, Vendor Risk Management, and Business Continuity Management capabilities to address complex customer challenges.
- Review customer risk architectures, governance frameworks, and design process and system integrations to ServiceNow IRM — mapping regulatory requirements (SOX, GDPR, ISO 31000, COSO, NIST RMF) to platform capabilities.
- Respond to customer questions, including RFPs/RFIs relating to ServiceNow IRM, compliance automation, and enterprise risk transformation.
- Configure solution environments to address customer-specific risk, compliance, and audit requirements, delivering compelling proof of value (POV) engagements.
- Develop and contribute to sales campaigns focused on IRM, including cross-sell and upsell motions into ITSM, SecOps, and HR/ESG risk domains.
AI Integration & Innovation
- Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving — including using AI-powered tools, automating risk workflows, analysing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on risk and compliance functions.
- Identify and position opportunities to embed Now Assist and AI Agents within IRM workflows — including intelligent risk scoring, predictive compliance gap analysis, automated control recommendations, and AI-assisted audit scoping.
- Guide customers on AI governance frameworks and responsible AI adoption in risk and compliance environments, addressing transparency, auditability, and regulatory concerns related to AI-driven decisions.
- Stay current on ServiceNow's AI product roadmap (AI Agents, Agentic Workflows, Autonomous IT) and practically apply these capabilities to IRM use cases during customer engagements.
- Awareness of AI-enabled risk and compliance tools for third-party risk monitoring, continuous controls testing, and automated evidence collection.
Enablement, Thought Leadership & Team Contribution
- This role is pivotal in providing our growing customer base with lessons learned, strategies, and advice to enhance real-world risk management and compliance operations.
- Contribute to and maintain a dynamic showcase of IRM solutions created on the ServiceNow platform — including demo environments, sandbox configurations, and customer-ready use-case libraries.
- Develop solutions and capabilities that enable other Solution Consultants and ServiceNow Partners to demonstrate the value of IRM across industry verticals (Financial Services, Healthcare, Public Sector, Manufacturing, etc.).
- Collaborate with Product Management and Development teams to surface IRM product enhancement requests that reflect real customer needs and market trends.
- Ability to work in a global team, sharing best practices and solutions with other SCs to enhance the quality and efficiency of the broader team.
- Stay current on competitive analyses — understanding key differentiators between ServiceNow IRM and competing platforms (RSA Archer, MetricStream, AuditBoard, Workiva, LogicGate, etc.).
- Support Marketing events — user conferences, trade shows, analyst demonstrations, roundtables, and webinars representing ServiceNow's IRM vision
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:
Pre-Sales & Solution Consulting Excellence
- Demonstrated pre-sales excellence with outstanding communication and presentation skills — able to simplify complex risk, compliance, and governance concepts for both technical and business stakeholders, including CROs, Chief Compliance Officers, Internal Audit leadership, and IT teams.
- Experience building and delivering compelling product demos, proof-of-value engagements, and technical presentations mapped to customer pain points and industry-specific risk frameworks.
- Proven track record as a trusted advisor, influencing account teams and client executives in IRM and GRC transformation deals.
- Adhere to ServiceNow's operational excellence in all aspects of work and collaboration.
IRM & GRC Domain Expertise
- Familiarity with real-world enterprise risk environments — including risk assessment processes, three-lines-of-defence models, internal audit cycles, vendor/third-party risk programs, and business continuity planning.
- Proficient with critical GRC concepts and tools: risk registers, control frameworks, policy lifecycle management, audit workflows, attestation processes, and regulatory change management.
- Strong documentation and technical writing skills for proposals, architecture diagrams, and regulatory framework mapping (ISO 31000, COSO, NIST RMF, SOX, GDPR, MAS TRM, local compliance requirements).
- Understanding of enterprise risk architectures, including integration with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle), ITSM platforms, and cloud governance tools.
- Good understanding of Operational Resilience and the ability to articulate business value linked to regulatory compliance, risk quantification, and third-party risk reduction.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with 3–5 years of related risk management, compliance, or GRC experience required.
AI & Emerging Technology Awareness
- Demonstrated understanding of how Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI Agents can enhance risk identification, control effectiveness testing, continuous compliance monitoring, and automated remediation workflows.
- Awareness of AI-enabled GRC tools for intelligent risk scoring, third-party risk continuous monitoring, automated evidence collection, and AI-assisted audit scoping.
- Experience — or strong readiness — to advise customers on responsible AI adoption within regulated environments, including AI auditability, bias management, and model governance requirements.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow's Now Assist and AI Agent capabilities relevant to IRM, and ability to map these to customer value outcomes.
Mindset & Collaboration
- Adaptable, collaborative mindset with a desire to learn and stay current on fast-changing risk management, regulatory, and ServiceNow platform trends.
- Ability to work across diverse stakeholder groups — from CIOs and CROs to compliance analysts and IT architects — with cultural sensitivity across APAC markets.
- Self-starter approach to building scalable demo assets, enablement content, and competitive positioning that benefits the entire SC community.
