Job Description
What you get to do in this role
- Lead Enterprise Integration Strategy: Drive the design and delivery of modern integration solutions leveraging API-first, event-driven architectures (EDA), and iPaaS platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, ServiceNow Integration Hub).
- Modernize Integration Landscape: Transform legacy integrations into cloud-native, microservices-based solutions to support enterprise-scale growth and digital transformation.
- Architectural Influence: Collaborate with enterprise architects to define integration patterns, enforce governance, and ensure alignment with security and compliance standards.
- Customer Zero Leadership: Champion internal adoption of ServiceNow products, provide real-time feedback to influence product roadmaps, and showcase NowOnNow use cases externally.
- Agile Delivery & DevOps: Own the integration development lifecycle from requirements to deployment in an Agile/DevOps environment, leveraging CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Nexus).
- Data Integrity & Security: Ensure secure, resilient, and performant data flows across hybrid environments (on-prem and cloud), implementing best practices for OAuth2, JWT, TLS.
- Vendor & Budget Management: Manage third-party integration providers, negotiate SLAs, and optimize costs through reusable integration patterns.
- Innovation & Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of integration trends (API monetization, AI-driven integration, low-code platforms) and evangelize best practices across teams.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:
- Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry.
- 15+ years in IT with 6–8 years in software development and minimum 5 years in people management.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proven knowledge in Microservices, API Management, Event-Driven Architecture, and Enterprise Application Integration.
- Hands-on experience with middleware/iPaaS platforms (ServiceNow Workflow Data Fabric, Integration Hub, Dell Boomi,).
- Strong programming background in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, REST/SOAP, JMS, Kafka/RabbitMQ, and design patterns.
- Tools & Methodologies: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Agile frameworks, and API lifecycle management.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to mentor teams, enforce coding standards, and communicate architectural principles effectively.
- Preferred: ServiceNow platform knowledge, experience with Integration Hub Spokes, and exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Soft Skills: Strong stakeholder management, problem-solving, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment.
