Job Summary: We are seeking an exceptionally experienced and dynamic individual to assume the role of Director, Performance Quality Engineering within our Digital Technologies team, driving the performance testing and performance engineering , ensuring the highest quality, scalability and reliability in the applications that we deploy. The ideal candidate will possess over 15 years of experience in leading testing teams and transformation projects, demonstrating strong technical leadership and distinguished people management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive performance testing and engineering strategies that align with the overarching goals and objectives of the organization.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of performance engineers and testers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Performance Testing: Oversee the design, execution, and analysis of performance tests utilizing tools such as JMeter, Blazemeter, and Neoload.
  • Performance Engineering: Implement performance engineering practices to proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and ensure optimal performance of digital products.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and product management, to integrate performance testing into the software development lifecycle.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance performance testing processes, methodologies, and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Reporting and Metrics: Establish and maintain performance testing metrics and reporting mechanisms to provide visibility into performance trends and issues.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate performance testing results and insights to stakeholders, including senior management, to inform strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 15 years of experience in leading performance testing and engineering teams within large enterprises.
  • Expertise: Strong expertise in performance testing tools such as JMeter, Blazemeter, and Neoload.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of performance testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve performance issues effectively.
  • Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with AI and automation in Performance testing.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices in testing and quality assurance.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar platforms.

Work Style:

  • Comfortable working autonomously with minimal guidance, supporting leadership and driving initiatives.
  • Ability to operate without direct supervision, prioritizing tasks and supporting multiple leaders.

  • Proven capability in building relationships and fostering connections across various levels of the organization for success
  • Proven track record of leading and managing high-performing teams.

  • Strong understanding of Testing practices and proven experience of delivering great quality on enterprise software
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative and engaging approach.
  • Ability to interface effectively with customers and diverse roles across all organizational levels.
  • Comfort in ambiguous situations, coupled with intellectual curiosity and a proactive attitude

Analytical & Data-Driven:

  • Analytical and data-driven mindset to solve complex business problems and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
