Job Description

As a Senior Manager, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Reporting, you will lead a range of reporting-related projects including the execution of ESG regulatory reporting readiness, collaboration with internal teams and subject matter experts (SMEs) on other filings and stakeholder engagement, and the analysis of data and trends to help ServiceNow make informed decisions in the evolving reporting environment.   

The Senior Manager will play a critical role on the team by lending their knowledge and experience in a broad range of ESG topics to help build reporting capacity and processes to ensure on-time and successful delivery of ESG reporting projects that support ServiceNow’s overall corporate priorities and stakeholders such as customers and investors. In this detailed-oriented, relationship-driven and analytical role, you will report to the Director of ESG Reporting and work closely with entire the ESG Reporting as well as a wide range of internal teams and external consultants.  

What you get to do in this role:   

  • ESG regulatory reporting: Collaborate with ESG Reporting team members and a broad group of cross-functional business partners (e.g. Statutory Reporting, Legal, Enterprise Risk, Internal Audit, Compliance and Ethics, Environmental Sustainability, Operational Excellence and topic-specific SMEs teams) to lead and execute various components of ESG regulatory reporting readiness. This includes: 

  • Share ESG reporting expertise to influence, help educate, liaise and drive alignment for regulatory reporting between SMEs, Statutory Reporting, and Internal Audit. 

  • Draft and guide the preliminary and on-going creation of EU CSRD and other climate-related regulatory reporting. 

  • Commercial and investor inquiries: Coordinate with Global Proposal Services, Commercial Legal, Investor Relations, and/or Account Executives on customers, prospects, partners and investors inquiries and questions. 

  • Board and internal reporting: Lead on preparing content, project managing, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure various update for Nominating and Governance Committee, Audit Committee, broader Board of Directors, and other internal reporting (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual). 

  • Risk and policies: Work with Enterprise Risk to co-lead the development and maintenance of ESG reporting-related risks items; write and guide the development and refresh of process documentation and regulatory reporting policies 

  • Climate-related: Co-lead, advise on and drive projects that advance climate-related governance and risk and opportunities assessment and operationalization 

  • ESG raters: Complete annual raters questionnaires such S&P CSA, CDP, MSCI, Sustainalytics, ISS, JUST Capital, and EcoVadis by working with SMEs in addition improving the process via the use of AI. 

  • Analysis and presentations: Create presentations for business partners to senior leaders to provide information/education and exec summary on key projects and deliverables.  

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

  • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI’s potential impact on the function or industry. 

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a quantitative field. Advanced degree is a plus. 

  • Possesses a growth mindset with a desire to continuously improve current processes and learn about the evolving ESG reporting landscape such as regulations and stakeholders expectations with the ability to zoom out, connect the dots, convert on feedback and constantly drive for solutions, actions and improvements that balance our company’s and stakeholders’ priorities. 

  • Substantive hands-on experience with Excel and PowerPoint and ease in adapting to various technology tools such as dashboards and other software applications to analyze, visualize and present information. 

  • Proven ability to communicate and translate technical data and large amount of complex quantitative and qualitative information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences (leadership and team members, internal and external to the company) and linking them to business impact and value with strong attention to details. 

  • Experience with collaborating and project managing ESG raters including S&P CSA, CDP, MSCI, Sustainalytics, ISS, JUST Capital, and EcoVadis and responding to stakeholders’ inquiries. 

  • Experience with EU CSRD reporting and other global ESG-related/climate regulatory reporting with familiarity with working with metric controls and risk framework. 

  • Demonstrated expertise with multi-faceted ESG reporting and related ESG topics with ownership, collaboration, and/or project management of an ESG report for a minimum of 3 years. 

  • 5+ year SaaS, technology, consulting, finance; high-growth, fast-paced industry experience is a plus; resourceful, self-motivated and able to prioritize shifting workloads  

  • 5+ year experience in ESG reporting.
