Job Description
The Senior Manager, Solution Consulting for Manufacturing will ensure that they have an effective, motivated team of highly skilled resources to support innovation cycles within the Partner ecosystem to facilitate both vertical and horizontal value-based solutions. ServiceNow is the leading Enterprise Service Management suite, the platform to digitalize and automate customer processes with the power of GenAI.
The Solution Consulting (pre-sales) organization is a vital and well-respected part of the sales eco-system at ServiceNow who are expected to deliver spectacular interactions and experiences. Our mission is to consult our customers in their decision making by matching their use cases with the capabilities of our NOW platform. We demonstrate the possibilities and benefits of ServiceNow to make the 'world of work' work better for everyone.
The SC core purpose is to develop customer opportunities using our Value Selling method. Our aim is to position the NOW platform with ServOps as the foundation and to extend our footprint over our technology-, customer-, employee and creator worklows. We achieve this through discovery, conducting demos, developing use cases with the customer, addressing all technical questions, responding to tenders, successfully positioning against competitors, highlighting added value and financial benefits (BVA), assisting in partner selection, and creating a roadmap with the customer.
The ideal manager will create a repeatable process, driving results and outcomes in a multi-fold agenda including:
- Achieving results and outcomes by establishing clarity and structure, setting goals and driving execution.
- Leading people by developing a vision, providing direction, assessing performance, retaining / develops talent.
- Functioning as a technical lead who drives territory planning, co-owning pipeline development, coaching for success and contributing to close deals.
- Being visible as a deal executive by sponsoring key opportunities and managing C-level relationships with customers and partners.
- Engaging as an orchestrator, representing the team as an interface to other internal stakeholders such as Sales, Marketing and our Business Units
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:
- 3+ years experience in building or leading pre-sales or professional services teams , alternatively leading functional teams on the customer side in the manufacturing industry
- 3+ years experience of standard approaches to coaching, mentoring and managing a team of senior level professionals
- Ability to collaborate and interact at multiple levels internally and externally (Enterprise Architects, Technical Architects, Offering Managers, (Senior) Directors, VP’s, and CXO’s)
- Ability to motivate and inspire a growing team of leading Solutions Consultants
- Strong internal matrix leadership and relationship building abilities with cross functional counterparts
- Ability to prioritize resources and broker internal compromise to achieve the best outcomes for our corporation across competing internal priorities
- Able to articulate and logically communicate concepts with technical and non-technical audiences
- Experienced with project problem diagnosis, solution development, client communications, facilitation of decision making, documentation, managing expectations and team leadership
- Experience of working with Service Providers, Outsourcers and Global System Integrators
- Proven ability to bridge the Strategic “what” of market outcomes, to the technology “How” of ServiceNow’s approach, in the context of compelling financial “why” of improved margins, agility, and growth through the NOW Platform’s unprecedented ability to transform the go-to-market of the Retail, CPG and Sports ecosystem
- Ability to manage change and ambiguity with an action-orientation/drive – must thrive in a dynamic environment
- Fluency in German and English
