Job Description

What you get to do in this role:

As Director, Chief of Staff to the SVP, Strategic Finance, you have a key role blending strategic thinking with operational execution.   In this critical role, you will work closely with the SVP and her leadership team to provide strategic support, facilitate communication and collaboration, drive operational efficiency, and ensure the successful execution of key initiatives within the Finance organization. Reporting directly to the SVP, this role is essential in driving critical organizational priorities and acting as a principal architect in developing and nurturing the team's culture and overall wellbeing. 

Strategize:

  • Partner closely with the SVP and her leadership team to develop the annual and multi-year objectives that align with company-wide and overall Finance goals
  • Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring successful execution against its strategy, objectives and roadmap of initiatives focused on transforming Strategic Finance
  • Be in the know; have a pulse into the organization that influences the development of actions, strategies and deliverables to ensure strong wellbeing and engagement

Drive Team Leadership and Development:

  • Partner with HR to develop a high-performing team Strategic Finance Sr. Leadership Team
  • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented culture
  • Drive Learning and development strategy and execution, both internal to Strategic Finance and in partnership with company learning and development initiatives
  • Drive EVS action plans across Strategic Finance
  • Facilitate career pathing and development across Strategic Finance, including developing and managing succession plans for Strategic Finance Leadership and key roles
  • Partner with HR to develop and execute a workforce plan that will ensure Strategic Finance will have the right skills, at the right levels, in the best cost locations

Communicate & Drive Change:

  • Champion the purpose and culture of Finance and the company
  • Craft and deliver high-impact communications on behalf of the SVP and Leadership team
  • Communicate Strategic Finance priorities, activities, and results to the larger organization, while ensuring deliverables are met
  • Establish excellent working relationships with the Finance Leadership and other key stakeholders
  • Be a change agent; Partner with HR to develop and drive a change management plan that will enable the Transformation Vision of Strategic Finance

Project Management:

  • Rhythm of Business:  Run town halls, leadership meetings, offsites and workshops, in addition to driving special projects
  • Own programming for SVP staff meetings to maximum effectiveness, including agenda, notes, actions, and reporting
  • Oversee and manage key projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals
  • Develop content for QBRs, SVP presentations and other regular updates with key stakeholders. Take lead in managing budget.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to drive project success
  • Anticipate and address the needs of the SVP, ensuring their time is optimized for strategic priorities;  work closely with the SVPs executive assistant to develop a process to effectively manage the SVPs time

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

  • Prior experience as a Chief of Staff is highly important
  • Tech industry and finance functional experience
  • Discretion, executive presence, strong communication skills
  • Superb leadership and influencing skills
  • Experience building and leading high-performing teams, either in a direct or matrixed capacity
  • Ability to motivate others, drive collaboration, teaming & resolve conflict between diverse stakeholder groups
  • Project management experience with a track record of successful project delivery
  • Problem-solver mindset
  • Sharp business judgment, ability to see the "big picture" anticipate and prioritize
  • Ability to manage change and ambiguity with an action-orientation/drive; must thrive in a dynamic environment
  • High energy, strong work ethic, disciplined execution skills, willingness to do whatever it takes to deliver results
  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field.  8-10 years of experience

For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $173,100 - $302,900, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
