EMEA Tax Manager

The Position

You will be a member of the EMEA tax team reporting to the EMEA Tax Director managing a portfolio of countries for compliance and USGAAP provisioning purposes as well as leading business critical projects intended to assist the business in achieving the Company goals.  You must have the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment and to work closely and proactively with numerous functional teams across our organization. This position will be based in Dublin, Ireland.

What you get to do in this role:

  • Work cross functionally with third party tax advisors, financial reporting and legal in the completion of tax charges and disclosures in the statutory financial statements.  Review of statutory accounts for tax purposes
  • Partnering with third party tax advisors in the preparation and filing of corporate income returns and ancillary filings.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of US GAAP quarterly tax provision which includes deferred tax and payable reconciliations, tax accounts roll-forward and return-to-provision true-up.
  • Responsible for the management of allocated foreign entity tax provision submissions and serve as a resource for local country tax provision questions.
  • Support the management of tax audits in the region
  • Working cross functionally for business critical projects intended to support the company in its rapid growth plan.  Projects including Tax technology and process improvement, post acquisition compliance, WHT processes etc.
  • Assist with maintaining global transfer pricing policies and documentation, including review and implementation of transfer pricing studies, Country by Country Reporting, and other local transfer pricing documentation requirements
  • Assist with the international tax planning projects, including modeling the tax impacts
  • Support 404 internal control testing and maintain SOX documentation and processes related to international taxation
  • Build collaborative working relationships with legal, accounting, FP&A, and corporate development and communication of tax considerations and gathering appropriate data
  • Research and evaluate the tax impact of current and proposed tax legislation
  • Ad hoc tax projects as needed.


To be successful in this role you have:

  • The successful applicant should be AITI/ CTA qualified and a qualified Accountant.
  • At least 5-7 years of relevant international tax experience in Big 4 and/or industry experience
  • Hands-on experience in the calculation of quarterly and annual tax provisions with a working knowledge of international tax matters
  • Advanced Excel required, with experience in SAP and Alteryx being an advantage
  • Ability to manage and execute multiple tasks from end-to-end, prioritizing and adhering to tight timelines with attention to detail
  • Self-starter, resourceful
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Have the ability to scrutinise, challenge, and propose changes to existing processes and procedures.
  • Effective interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

A flexible work persona is defined as an employee who is contracted to work from or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office and will work from their assigned workplace location roughly 3 days/week or less (generally around 40-60% of the work week). Flexible employees may choose to work the remaining working time from their workplace location or home. Flexible employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.


A remote work persona is defined as an employee who performs their responsibilities exclusively outside of a ServiceNow workplace and is not contracted or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office, including those whose place of work (pursuant to their terms and conditions of employment) is their home.
