Serpa Packaging is seeking a skilled Electrical Assembly Technician to join the team! Our Electrical Assembly Technician will work in a team and use a hands-on approach to successfully perform electrical assembly of high-quality industrial packaging machinery in our manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Reading electrical schematics using electrical tools, such as a volt meter, soldiering iron, and/or an amp meter.
• Read assembly drawings, electrical schematics (one line irons), layout drawings and bills of material.
• Pulling wire, terminating, bending conduit, wiring motors and electrical maintenance.
• Align, fit, assemble, connect, and install system components, using jigs, fixtures, measuring instruments, hand tools, and power tools.
• Adjust, repair, rework, or replace parts and assemblies to eliminate malfunctions and to ensure proper operation. 
• May perform some basic mechanical repairs and troubleshooting.
• Industrial Control Panel building and terminating.

• Minimum of 3 years of electrical experience.
• High School/GED Diploma required; related Associate’s Degree/Certification desired.
• Experience with PLCs and Electrical theory and work desired.
• Mechanical aptitude desired.
• Blueprint and electrical schematic reading capabilities.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs and perform job duties that require standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting upper body, working in cramped spaces.
