Job Description

Serpa Packaging Solutions is seeking a skilled IT professional to join our team! As an IT Specialist, you’ll serve as first point of contact for users needing support and technical assistance with hardware and software questions and issues. He or she will also help maintain and support company equipment, which includes computers, printers, and additional equipment related.

    Responsibilities

    • First point of contact for end users of the company
    • Troubleshoot IT related issues to resolve problems and errors
    • Build custom PC’s and setup workstations for new users
    • Upgrade hardware and software on workstations
    • Maintain inventory of workstations software and hardware
    • Maintain inventory of printers and printer supplies
    • Install, configure and test workstations, equipment, software, etc.
    • Contact vendors for support, upgrades, and maintenance
    • Guide and train users on software and hardware
    • Maintain server and network equipment
    • Support and maintain phone system
    • Maintain Active Directory
    • Clean up computers and peripheral equipment
    • Provide Network and Cell Phone support
    • Utilize and maintain company’s helpdesk ticketing software
    • Ensure proper documentation of procedures
    • Assist in IT projects
    • Flexibility to support other duties as assigned by Manager

    Qualifications

    • 2+ years experience in troubleshooting Windows OS
    • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (2007, 2010, 2016)
    • Experience with Microsoft Server 2008 and 2012 desired
    • Experience with Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Active Directory (AD), Domain Name System (DNS), and other roles desired
    • Relevant technical experience and knowledge of network protocols desired
    • Must possess a positive and professional attitude
    • Solid customer service skills and communication skills, both written and oral
    • Strong attention to detail, planning and organization skills
    • Problem solving and decision making skills

    Physical Demands

    • Ability to perform job duties that require standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting upper body, working in cramped spaces
    • Physical effort that may include the lifting of supplies and materials that weigh up to 25 pounds
