Serpa Packaging Solutions is searching for a skilled Quality professional to join our team! As a Quality Technician, you will be tasked with performing routine inspections to ensure fabricated parts are made according to company standards, customer specifications, and any applicable regulatory standards. The member in this role will play an integral part to ensuring production quality is optimal.

Responsibilities:

 Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Understand and utilize company quality control system procedure.
• Read and interpret part blueprint drawings and specifications.
• Visually inspect and measure fabricated parts to determine conformance to part blueprint drawings and specifications.
• Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, fixtures and gauges to verify conformance to part blueprint drawings and specifications.
• Complete accurate quality inspections and maintain complete records of quality inspection results.
• Timely process appropriate paperwork to ensure completion.
• Report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Understand and apply company quality standards and objectives to fulfill customers’ needs.
• Support company quality, production, and rework standards and expectations.
• Follow and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Recommend process and quality improvement procedures and support approved procedures.
• Carry out other duties reasonable within capability as requested by Supervisor and/or Manager.

• Minimum 2 years quality control experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience implementing or supporting a quality management system (ISO 9001) highly desired
• Previous machining experience desired
• Experience and skill using measuring tools, such as micrometers and calipers
• Strong ability to read machined parts blueprints
• Strong understanding of tolerances
• Experience with the following materials desired: steel, aluminum, and plastic
• Strong attention to detail

 Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform job duties that require standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting upper body, working in cramped spaces
• Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time due to the nature of work environment
• Able to lift up to 45 pounds
