Job Description

We are looking for someone that is dynamic, full of energy, and enjoys working and learning from seniors that have years of wisdom and life experience.

The individual that will be a perfect match for this position is outgoing, has passion and zest for life, is creative, and can think outside the box.

The Zest assistant helps to create and implement stimulating programming with a focus on the mind, body and soul and works with a team of dedicated colleagues.

We consistently meet the needs and expectations of our senior residents, and we have FUN while doing it.

Job Expectations:

  • Develops programs, coordinates and implements activities for senior residents.
  • Creates calendars, fliers, posters, newsletters, or other materials for announcing upcoming programs and events. Feels comfortable with Canva and other forms of media.
  • Creates stimulating and fun opportunities for the residents with a focus on Mind, Body, and Soul. Examples may include:
  • Special events, vinyl hour, mind-fit classes, guided chair exercises, karaoke sessions, art/jewelry making, crossword/puzzle time, afternoon movies, short lectures, comedy and cocktails, etc.  
  • Monitors materials and supplies; orders supplies as needed with the Zest Director; stocks supplies upon receipt.
  • Provides ongoing information and communications with residents in conjunction with management staff via newsletter, event calendar, TSOLife (our platform for in-house communication).
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and good driving record to be able to drive company vehicles when needed.
  • Comfortable and capable of teaching classes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • One to three years’ experience in assisted living or working with memory care residents is preferred.
  • Proficient verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Ability to encourage and motivate.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrated creative ability.
