Job Description

The Head – HR & Administration is responsible for leading the end-to-end Human Resources and Administration function for the organization. The role ensures full statutory and factory compliance, effective industrial relations, robust people and organization systems, alignment with Group HR frameworks, and a stable, engaged, and high-performing workforce in a manufacturing environment.

Key Areas

Labor Laws, Factory Compliance & Audits
Provide overall governance for compliance with all applicable labor laws and factory regulations. Ensure timely renewals, statutory filings, inspections, and readiness for internal, external, customer, and group audits. Act as the primary interface with labor authorities and regulatory bodies.

Performance Management (PERFORM – Group Platform)
Drive the effective implementation of the Group Performance Management System (PERFORM). Ensure alignment of individual goals with business and group objectives, oversee review cycles, performance calibration, and improvement plans, and ensure governance and reporting discipline.

Organization Development (OD)
Lead organization design, manpower planning, role clarity, succession planning, and change management initiatives to support business growth, operational efficiency, and leadership continuity.

Talent Acquisition
Oversee workforce planning and talent acquisition across levels, ensuring timely availability of critical skills for plant and support functions. Strengthen employer branding and hiring processes in line with business requirements and group standards. Use global platform (Smart Recruiters) for all level hirings.

Ensure the availability of contractual manpower as per the production volumes and requirement.

Learning & Management Development
Identify capability gaps and drive learning interventions including technical, behavioral, safety, and leadership development. Track learning effectiveness and build internal pool of trainers. Utilize Learn (Global platform) for e-learnings.

Compensation & Benefits
Implement and administer compensation and benefits programs in line with Group policies. Manage annual salary reviews, incentives, payroll governance, and statutory payments, ensuring internal equity and external competitiveness.

Employee Engagement
Drive employee engagement, communication, welfare, and retention initiatives to enhance morale, productivity, and organizational commitment.

HR Policies & Governance
Periodically review, update, and implement HR policies, SOPs, and code of conduct to ensure alignment with statutory changes and Group governance requirements.

Group Reporting & HR MIS
Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of HR MIS, dashboards, and reports to Group HR, supporting reviews, audits, and strategic decision-making.

General Administration
Oversee administrative services including facilities, security, housekeeping, transport, canteen, and vendor management, ensuring a safe, efficient, and cost-effective workplace.

Industrial Relations
Develop and execute industrial relations strategy to ensure harmonious employee relations. Maintain healthy relations with workmen.

Qualifications

MBA/PGDBM in Human Resources

15+ years of progressive HR experience in manufacturing/automobile industry.
