In this position, you will design and document PLC and HMI programs that can be used to control a single machine or an entire production line. You write the programs independently, but you work in a team context in order to properly translate the mechanical operating principles into program code and to make the best use of existing code. You continuously transfer relevant technical information to internal and external stakeholders. In addition, the I/O testing of the electrical components that communicate with the PLC and the testing of the network on which the PLC communicates, are part of your activities. The latter is often done on location at the client (commissioning).

This position will be best suited to you, if you are an independent personality, who can build and shape a program from scratch, but also if you are able to take an existing program and extend it in line with the already programed structure. It will be to your advantage if you don't hesitate to interview your colleagues in other departments in order to obtain information, and deliver your own contribution to them as well. Because our clients are located all over the world, you have to be prepared to work abroad several times a year for a consecutive period of 3 to 6 weeks.

• A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in addition to a  bachelor's degree
• Overall experience in industrial automation
• Proper knowledge of Siemens Industrial Automation systems and specifically programming in Step 7 and building HMI applications using WinCC flexible
• Knowledge of modern network technologies and experience with field buse

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE POSITION

Knowledge
Level of education:                        Bachelor's degree in control technology or technical computer science;
Years of experience:                     A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position;
Knowledge of languages:           In speech and in writing: English is a must, German would be a plus.
