Job Title: Acting Operations Manager/Supervisor 
Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Employment Type: Full-time / Project-Based

The Operations Manager / Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of maintenance operations within the assigned scope. The role will ensure strict compliance with contractual obligations, applicable regulations, airworthiness requirements, safety procedures, and internal operational standards.

The successful candidate will focus on achieving on-time and high-quality delivery while ensuring the safety of the team and maintaining strong customer satisfaction. The role requires close coordination with the Project Manager, local branch management, team leaders, functional departments, and the local office.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

Manage and supervise maintenance operations within the assigned scope of work.

Ensure all activities are performed in line with the contract, applicable regulations, airworthiness requirements, and safety procedures.

Monitor operational performance and ensure timely and high-quality delivery.

Ensure that no activities are performed outside the contractual scope in order to protect company liability.

Establish and maintain operational procedures to provide a clear reference framework for the team.

Coordinate with team leaders to ensure effective daily supervision and continuous improvement.

Safety, Compliance & Quality

Ensure the safety of all personnel under supervision.

Conduct audits within the team and ensure corrective action plans are properly implemented.

Promote continuous improvement across maintenance activities and operational processes.

Ensure strict compliance with headquarters’ directives, local laws, staff regulations, and country-specific customs and requirements.

Reporting & Stakeholder Coordination

Report maintenance activities and operational performance to the Project Manager using Key Performance Indicators.

Communicate any difficulties encountered during project execution, including major events, customer requests, or operational constraints.

Provide regular reporting on events and information relevant to the mission.

Coordinate with the Project Manager for general oversight and technical matters.

Engage with functional departments for expertise, support, and specific technical or operational topics.

Work closely with the local office on administrative matters including accounting, accommodation, travel, medical examinations, and local compliance.

Team Leadership

Manage and supervise maintenance staff.

Ensure team members understand and follow operational procedures, safety rules, and contractual requirements.

Support team leaders in implementing corrective actions and improving operational performance.

Maintain discipline and escalate administrative or disciplinary matters to the Project Manager and local branch management when required.

Qualifications

Proven experience in aviation maintenance operations, maintenance supervision, or technical operations management.

Strong understanding of airworthiness, safety procedures, and regulated maintenance environments.

Experience managing maintenance teams and coordinating with project, technical, and functional stakeholders.

Ability to monitor KPIs, prepare reports, and communicate operational issues clearly.

Strong knowledge of contractual compliance and scope control.

Experience working in an international or multicultural environment is an advantage.

Previous experience in Saudi Arabia or the GCC is a plus.
