Job Description
Key Responsibilities & Functions
- Perform sealing tasks including seal, fillet, fay, cap seal, brush coat, and related applications
- Apply sealants on major assemblies, sub-assemblies, precision bench work, and integral fuel cells
- Use materials such as scotch cast, leveling compounds, and aerodynamic sealants
- Conduct pressure testing as required
- Work from drawings, technical documents, process specifications, and quality control requirements
Operational Duties
- Interpret and work with blueprints, engineering changes, specifications, and work orders
- Complete required data collection and transactions to support sealant process tracking
- Perform rework, fabrication, change incorporation, and functional testing during and after sealing processes
- Use measuring instruments as needed to complete tasks accurately
- Identify and report production issues such as errors, tooling problems, or process inefficiencies
- Document discrepancies in accordance with specifications and procedures
Production Support
- Support continuous workflow by training, coaching, and assisting team members across all levels
- Assist with pickup and movement of parts within the production process
- Temporarily attach parts and assemblies; install collars and related hardware (non-drilling/countersinking tasks)
Specialized Skills
- Integral Fuel Cell Sealing: Apply sealants to fuel cells and associated wing section components
- Advanced Sealing Capabilities: Perform major assembly sealing, large structure sealing, and aerodynamic sealing
Qualifications
Key Requirements
- Manager is primarily seeking candidates with exterior aerodynamic sealing experience
- Must be able to work either shift
- Must be eligible for rehire at Boeing
Compensation & Perks
- Pay rate plus $110/day per diem
- Per diem applies only to non-local candidates (residing more than 100 miles from the work location)

Travel & Accommodation
- Flights to training will be scheduled and paid
- Mileage reimbursement available for candidates who prefer to drive
- Hotel reimbursement provided during training in Wichita only
