Job Description
We are seeking a highly seasoned Performance & Calibration Expert to drive the development of hardware components and embedded software functions. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex hardware specifications and software intelligence, ensuring peak performance across engines, Exhaust Aftertreatment Systems (EATS), drivelines, and vehicle functions.
As a recognized subject matter expert, you will not only lead technical development but also serve as a strategic mentor and "go-to" resource for complex engineering challenges across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Specification & Calibration:
Select and define detailed specifications for feature-related hardware (FIE specs, turbo specs, camshaft profiles).
Calibrate embedded software datasets based on specific engine and vehicle prerequisites.
Development & Leadership:
Lead engine performance and calibration development for defined technical areas.
Execute and oversee verification plans to ensure all performance activities meet rigorous standards.
Release Management:
Manage the synchronization, configuration, and release of complete dataset deliveries.
Innovation & Strategy:
Propose improvements for engineering methods and tools.
Provide critical technical input for product and system roadmaps.
Connect technical output to broader business unit strategies and industry trends.
Qualifications
Experience: Typically 10+ years of relevant experience in Performance & Calibration Engineering.
Education: Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field.
Expertise: Recognized industry expert with a "T-shaped" profile (deep technical excellence paired with a mature generalist toolbox).
Leadership: Proven track record as a project lead, coach, and mentor.
Communication: Ability to articulate complex value creation and "join the dots" between technical work and global business strategy.
