Job Description

We are looking for a logistics engineer to join our project team in order to help our client shifting towards a new model of logistics, as well as to explore ways to further optimize the global layout of its plant.

The candidates will be responsible for internal flows planning and implementation of the specific areas defined by the clients scope and plant requirements. This will involve design and optimization of material flows, surface and labour calculations, layout design, investment planning and later steer its implementation toward SOP.

The candidates will have strong project management skills in order to oversee and manage all above described. We expect from them to maintain a good communication within the project team as well as with the plant’s staff members along the project. ​

Qualifications

  • Must be Internal Flow oriented, i.e. understanding of the way to deliver the parts from receiving to line side.
  • They must be able to define the surfaces, the rolling and fix means, the IT tools, the number of operators, the job element sheet and time element sheet, taking into consideration the local constraints.
  • Advanced Excel skills beyond basic formulas like V-Lookup, Sum-if, count-if, Pivot Table and knowledge of Microsoft Office tools​ is mandatory
  • ​Experience of logistics and lean management​
  • Strong Project Management Skills, Certification like PMP or Prince2 advantageous, yet not mandatory​
  • Quick thinking, decisive, showing strong initiative and self-determination​
  • Good team spirit & communication skills (orally and in writing)​
  • similar experience in a relevant role​

Desired Experience​

  • ​Previous experience in the automotive industry ​
  • Proficient on AutoCAD or Visio
  • Responsive, adaptable, and meticulous​
  • Specific experience in handling equipment, sequencing or bulky container flows​
  • Previously part of a team implementing a new flows process
