Job Description
Assemble, install, seal, rig, inspect, and complete precision and other structural and system components, working from drawings, documents, process specifications, quality control requirements, and established processes and procedures. Perform functional testing and ensure correct fit, form, and function of assemblies and components.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain required information from prints, charts, sketches, work instructions, documents, verbal, and electronic information.
 - Use shop mathematics and precision measuring and/or test instruments to complete assignments and functionally test assemblies and components.
 - Utilize tooling to assemble components into subassemblies or completed end items.
 - Verify that work performed meets work instructions, process requirements, and engineering specifications; identify discrepancies as per applicable procedures.
 - Ensure equipment and tooling certifications are maintained per procedures.
 - Perform routine minor machine maintenance as part of daily work duties (e.g., replace filters, change bulbs, maintain lubrication/coolant levels) as related to basic Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) duties.
 - Move products within the manufacturing area using shop-assigned equipment and complete necessary transactions to advance products to the next operation.
 - Perform work within scheduled time frames.
 - Support continuous product flow by training and assisting employees at all classification levels.
 - Assist in training other assembly personnel in assembly, installation, and inspection techniques.
 
Qualifications
- +11 years of experience as Sheet Metal Mechanic in the aerospace industry
 - Must be able to pass the plate test.
 - Must be available to work 1st shift
 - Must be expert in the following : Drill out rivets, Shoot rivets in skin panels, Squeeze rivets common to interior structure, Remove Hi locs, Install Hi locs, Perform cut and splices and Pull holes
