Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Product Quality Leader to support product quality performance by investigating, prioritizing, and driving resolution of field quality issues. This role secures the voice of the customer within problem-solving processes and works cross-functionally with engineering, production, purchasing, and field service teams to ensure robust quality outcomes. The position plays a key part in achieving quality goals and metrics related to fault frequency and warranty costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Chairperson for the Field Quality Meeting (FQM) for assigned markets.

  • Lead the Quality Action Group (QAG) as appointed.

  • Detect, analyze, and quantify customer quality issues proactively through enhanced analytics.

  • Prioritize and drive quality actions across engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing to meet quality targets.

  • Recommend and oversee containment actions and problem-solving tools for identified field issues.

  • Identify emerging issues requiring pre-investigation.

  • Coordinate and communicate quality initiatives and customer satisfaction updates across the organization.

  • Verify effectiveness of implemented quality solutions.

  • Request and present external campaign proposals at the External Campaign Committee.

  • Flag potential safety-related issues to Safety Investigators when identified in field reports or claims.

  • Lead actions and tasks within the Product Quality Leader (PQL) network to achieve application quality goals.

  • Challenge peers to ensure major issues are properly prioritized and addressed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related business field (Master’s degree preferred).

  • 5+ years of automotive industry experience, ideally in service or maintenance roles.

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams or managing projects.

  • Background in dealership operations or direct dealer interface is a plus.

  • Strong judgment for prioritizing issues that provide value to both customer and brand.

  • Ability to build credibility, establish positive relationships, and influence stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with quality solving processes, predictive analytics, and data mining.

  • Customer-focused mindset (internal and external).

  • Fluent in English; global experience is a plus.
