Job Description

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, sketches and specifications.
  • Program, set up and operate machine tools (CNC, lathes, milling machines, etc to produce precision parts and components for the aircraft.
  • Check the quality of parts produced using precise measuring equipment (micrometers, comparators, etc.).
  • Ensure that dimensional tolerances and technical requirements are respected.
  • Set up machines for specific operations, perform tool changes, and conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance of machining equipment. 
  • Work with engineers and other team members to solve technical problems.
     

Qualifications

  • Diploma in technical career, mechanics, machining or a related field (DEP in machining techniques, DEC or equivalent).
  • More than 4 years of experience as a machinist in the aerospace industry or similar.
  • Proficiency in machining techniques and measuring tools.
  • Knowledge of materials used in aeronautics (aluminum, titanium, composites, etc.).
  • CNC programming skills (mastery of software such as Mastercam, SolidWorks, etc. an asset).
  • Attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to work in a team and meet deadlines.
