Job Description
Performs requirements in accordance with the procedures established. Specifically performs scheduled and unscheduled NDI inspections) aircraft designated maintenance manuals. Performs diagnosis and corrective actions, disassembles, inspects, evaluates, and accomplishes necessary repairs, lays out work according to technical instructions and technical directives. Determines what repairs, modifications, and part replacements are required. May be required to verify work performed by another for which he/she is qualified to perform.
- Performs duties as Non Destructive Inspection Technician Aircraft Division.
- Performs Non-Destructive InspectionsEddy Current, Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particles, Ultrasonic Testing and Radiographic Testing.
- Apply professional technical expertise and guidance to solve complex problems by interpreting technical data such as blueprints or manufacturers manuals / specifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Inspects aerospace components and support equipment for structural integrity using nondestructive inspection methods and performs fluid analysis.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years’ additional education and/or related experience
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience Non-Destructive Inspection qualification for Eddy Current, Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particles, Ultrasonic Testing and Radiographic Testing disciplines.
- 8 years experience with the application and use of technical data and blueprints.
- 5 years NDI experience
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.
- A current U.S. passport,
