Job Description

We're looking for an Inspection Engineering RBI Lead for our Team operating in Oil&Gas field.

The candidate should have at least 5+ years experience in Risk Based Inspection Engineering Management. 

Risk Based Inspection (RBI) is a powerful tool part of Asset Integrity Management System (AIMS).

RBI is focused on the Identification of the major threats who causes loss of containment of pressurized equipment and on the mitigation of resulting risks managed through inspection.

Job focuses on development of an inspection plan that manages or controls the risk of loss containment, by combining both the Probability of failure (PoF) and the Consequence of failure (CoF). In this way, inspection-related activities are prioritized and inspection techniques specifically prescribed.

The RBI Lead is required to take the responsibility of the following topic:

  • Understand Risk: to ascertain the risk of operating a facility, process unit, system, or component,
  • Risk Criteria: to establishing risk criteria to judge acceptability of risk,
  • Risk Scoring: to rank the equipment by their criticality (risk),
  • Risk Management: to plan inspection strategy (on-stream and off-stream) with the aim to reduce risk to an acceptable level,
  • Inspection Plan Input: to identify input for written scheme of examination preparation.

RBI Lead regularly reports to the lead inspection engineer the status of the activities, highlighting areas of concern.

 

Typical work activities

Starting from Corrosion Loop Diagrams (CLDs), equipment and piping item risk profile coming from RBI analysis, it is required to perform as follows:

  • gathering related design data from technical disciplines to build-up a comprehensive inspection asset register,
  • corrosion loop diagrams preparation,
  • inventory group drawings preparation,
  • RBI import spreadsheet preparation,
  • inspection plan development to meet local regulations and RBI analysis outcome,
  • supporting the project Lead Inspection Engineer in reviewing the project technical documentation in respect to the contractual requirements,
  • preparation of required documentation to attend meetings with Company, project team or vendors.

Qualifications

Technical skills

Advanced knowledge of:

  • Risk Based Inspection (RBI) methodology and software (API certification will be considered as plus),
  • NDT inspection methods for static pressurized equipment and piping (Certification in NDT techniques will be considered as a plus),
  • Inspection planning.
  • Fully aware of oil & gas plant related design documentation and drawings, which may include: 3D model, plot plan, P&IDs, PFDs, Line list, GA drawings, mechanical data sheets, vendor manuals, procedures, etc. Basic knowledge of Naviswork 3D Model software will be considered as plus.
  • Advanced Knowledge of material selection and corrosion discipline for Oil & Gas plants.
  • Expert of MS Office package. Ability to work with 3D software application, i.e., Naviswork Freedom and PDF editor, i.e., Power PDF Advanced.
