Job Description

About the Role

We’re looking for a passionate, mission-driven Head of Product to own the product strategy and implementation across our organization. This role is responsible for overseeing the innovation and growth of Seed&Spark’s products and all associated day-to-day product-related activities, ensuring that these products meet the needs of our business, our customers, and our mission. This role oversees our internal Film Forward curriculum development team as well as an internal product manager and outsourced engineering team, working hand-in-hand with each to ensure roadmaps and resources are appropriately aligned with priorities.

Seed&Spark proudly supports two products for our creators and customers: an industry-leading crowdfunding platform supporting independent and diverse creators, and Film Forward, a learning platform that drives behavior change and creates more inclusive workplaces using the power of film. There is a high degree of cross-functional collaboration needed across the Seed&Spark team as this role listens, learns, and shares product insights.

About YOU

You love to understand how products work, how customers engage with them, and how you can improve them to align with purpose, customer need, and business objectives. As someone who has worked on products big and small, you carry both micro and macro capabilities. You are extremely organized with attention to detail and you can also zoom out and understand the big picture at 30,000 ft. You figure out the right questions to ask for the best solutions.

You are a senior product leader who loves to roll up their sleeves, tackling challenges big and small. A big thinker who is also a team player and can jump in and help out wherever and whenever needed. You believe in asking questions and listening intently, while also being decisive and vocal. Technology excites you, especially when thinking about the ways it can solve the most difficult problems, such as social challenges, and want your work to make a positive impact on hearts and minds. You are excited to grow a product, and to grow your career alongside it!

We are all working remotely for the foreseeable future, so it’s important that you are proactive and consistent with your internal and external communication. You understand communication best practices in a remote work environment and are disciplined in your communication to ensure everyone has the right information at the right time, with the right context. You’re a team player, and we’re looking forward to building a team environment in which we care for each other’s psychological safety, have our voices heard, and shift each others’ perspectives. This is a full-time position reporting directly to the CEO.
