Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for a Temporary Community Coordinator to join our team. Here at Seed&Spark, we ensure that all kinds of stories are told and that all kinds of storytellers have avenues to spark vibrant conversations among people everywhere with their work. One of the ways we support this mission is through our crowdfunding platform, where we focus on how to make creators successful, and more specifically, how to set them up for success on raising the funds they need for their projects. Another way we support this is through our SaaS product Film Forward: a learning platform that drives behavior change using film.

As our Temporary Community Coordinator, you will be a liaison between our organization and our community, including creators, customers, and advocates. You will personify our voice and tone through community support, content distribution, and digital engagement to build brand presence and trust online. You are comfortable representing our brand personality and passionate about maintaining consumer trust. Our ideal candidate has experience with community outreach, video content creation, social media strategy, executing marketing campaigns (including via email), and moderating events.

You are part of our Marketing team, reporting to the Marketing Senior Manager, and will work closely alongside Creator Success, Sales and Product Management to ensure our story is positioned clearly with our audience. This is a 6-7 month long temporary position starting in October 2022. Seed&Spark is currently piloting a 4 day work week across our organization, so this position will work 4 days per week/32 hours per week, mostly Mondays through Thursdays (working days of the week may be subject to change, based on holidays).

About YOU

You love connecting with people. You understand how to listen to people - how to hear them and see them, not only in the context of a brand/customer relationship but also as part of a broader community. This skill energizes you because it allows you to connect with people and  drive positive engagement.

You have at least one year of experience managing social media for a brand and ideating and producing video content. You also have experience engaging directly with a brand’s digital audience. You are not necessarily an expert in everything - who is?! - but you know the best questions to ask and how to find the right experts when needed. A quick learner, you are not afraid of new challenges.

We are all working remotely for the foreseeable future, so it’s important that you are proactive and consistent with your internal and external communication. You’re a team player, and we’re looking forward to building a team environment in which we care for each other’s psychological safety, have our voices heard and shift each others’ perspectives.
