📍 Location: Cambridgeshire and surrounding areas - CB1 2FB
💰 Pay: £14.50 per hour 
📅 Hours: 36 hours per week: Working days, nights & weekends

As a Relief Security Officer, you will provide professional security services across a variety of client sites within a defined geographical area. You will play a key role in protecting people, property and assets by carrying out site patrols, controlling access, monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, and responding effectively to security incidents, always in line with site procedures and customer requirements🛡️

This is a varied and flexible role that requires excellent customer service skills and a proactive approach to security. As a Relief Security Officer at Securitas,  you will uphold our core values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness while managing visitor access, maintaining accurate records, conducting lock and unlock procedures, and ensuring a safe and secure environment for employees, contractors and visitors.

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

• Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site. Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms, and CCTV as appropriate
• Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions 
• Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate
• Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions 
• Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions 
• Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions 
• To provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring safeguarding of the premises

What we’re looking for:

• A valid SIA licence
• Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends
• The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history
• Good customer service skills
• Great IT skills and be computer literate 
• Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken
