Job Description

Security Site Operations Manager

Location: Bishopton
Pay Rate: £17.11 per hour (£40,037annually)
Hours: 45 per week
Shift Pattern: Monday – Thursday 6:00 am – 04:00 pm, Friday 6:00 am – 11:00 am

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Security Site Operations Manager to oversee security services at our Bishopton site. This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for day-to-day operations, ensuring client satisfaction, and driving high performance across your team while maintaining the highest levels of safety and compliance.

The role includes responsibility for responding to out-of-hours emergency calls, ensuring urgent issues such as blow-outs and critical incidents are managed effectively and without delay.

Key Responsibilities

Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE)

  • Place safety at the forefront of all operations.

  • Ensure compliance with all SHE standards and training.

  • Report all incidents promptly via agreed reporting mechanisms.

Risk Management

  • Implement mitigation measures to reduce risks to ALARP (as low as reasonably practicable).

  • Conduct site audits and risk assessments, escalating findings where necessary.

  • Oversee incident and activation reporting to ensure accuracy.

People Culture & Leadership

  • Lead by example, embodying Securitas’ values.

  • Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team.

  • Drive employee engagement, continuous development, and succession planning.

  • Conduct appraisals, training, and regular performance reviews.

  • Recognise and reward staff achievements.

Operational Management & Client Engagement

  • Manage staffing levels to meet service requirements.

  • Maintain accurate assignment instructions, risk assessments, and documentation.

  • Deliver competency-based training to support the on-site team.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.

  • Prepare and deliver operational reports to the Account Manager.

  • Ensure availability for out-of-hours call-outs to respond to urgent incidents.

Financial Management

  • Monitor direct and indirect costs to maximise efficiency.

  • Support management in achieving KPIs and cost control.

Qualifications

About You

  • Proven experience in a senior security management role.

  • Solid 5 year checkable work history

  • Must be a born British Citizen or held British Passport for min 5 years. 

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.

  • Valid SIA Licence (essential).

  • Excellent communication and client engagement abilities.

  • Strong understanding of SHE, risk management, and compliance requirements.

  • Financial awareness with experience managing budgets and KPIs.

  • Flexibility to respond to out-of-hours emergency calls when required.
