We’re Hiring: Security Officer

📍 Location: Romsey, UK
💰 Pay: £13.50 Per hour

📅 Hours: 4 on 4 off days and nights

  • Must be working towards a valid SIA Licence.
  • UK driving licence and transport (desirable).
  • Able to work varied shifts including nights/weekends. 
  • Previous security officer experience.
  • On site Gym canteen parking rural location.

The Security Officer provides a safe and secure environment by following Assignment Instructions, protecting people, property, and assets, and delivering high standards of customer service. An SIA Licence is required.

Job Description

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

  • Protect site, assets, and people through patrols, CCTV monitoring, and access control.
  • Follow Assignment Instructions and maintain accurate incident logs.
  • Enforce site safety and security procedures professionally.
  • Support health & safety: report hazards, assist with evacuations, respond to alarms.
  • Help prevent loss, theft, and damage; report suspicious activity.
  • Operate security equipment and follow “stop and search” policies.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Handle calls, assist visitors, and ensure smooth shift handovers.
  • Support management and uphold company values: Integrity, Vigilance, Helpfulness.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Must be working towards a valid SIA Licence.
  • Right to work in the UK and age 18+, no criminal convictions.
  • Five-year checkable work history, no criminal convictions.
  • UK driving licence and transport (desirable).
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, able to work independently or in a team.
  • Able to work varied shifts including nights/weekends.
  • Uphold company values of Integrity, Vigilance, Helpfulness.
  • Previous security officer experience.
  • First Aid qualification.
  • On site Gym canteen parking rural location.
