As a Relief Security Officer at Securitas, you’ll provide professional security services across various sites covering Cheltenham and surrounding areas, ensuring the safety of people, property, and assets. You’ll thrive in environments where no two days are the same and enjoy supporting your colleagues, sometimes at short notice.

Your presence will make others feel safe, welcome, and supported. This role has a core focus on customer service, client satisfaction and protection. Whether you’re patrolling key areas, managing gatehouse duties, or being the friendly face clients rely on, as a Relief Security Officer you’ll be an essential part of something bigger. 

As a Relief Security Officer you will broaden your experience across multiple professional environments. You’ll be supporting a portfolio of corporate sites, each offering a different pace, culture, and set of responsibilities.

What you'll be doing:

• Monitoring alarms, CCTV, and conducting patrols.
• Keeping vigilant, reporting incidents, and preventing disruption.
• Delivering exceptional customer service.
• Ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures.
• Supporting emergency protocols, including evacuations and searches.
• Maintaining accurate records and following assignment instructions.

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:

Essential:

• A valid SIA licence. 
• Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends, and be available to work at short notice.
• The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history.
• Full UK driving licence and own transport.
• Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken.
• Prior experience as a Security Officer in the security industry.
• No current criminal convictions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Punctual and reliable.
