🚨 Security Officer – Rochester 🚨
📍 Location: Rochester, Kent - ME1 2XX
🕒 Hours: 56 hours per week / Shift Times - 7-7 (Days, Nights & Weekends) 
💷 Pay: £13.65 per hour

We are looking for a reliable and professional Security Officer to join our team in Rochester. This is a full-time role offering consistent hours in a secure and supportive working environment.

What Does a Security Officer Do?

Security Officers play a vital role in protecting people, property, and information. They act as a visual deterrent, prevent unauthorized access, monitor for suspicious activity, and respond to incidents and emergencies. This position helps ensure the safety and security of premises 24/7.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patrol and monitor premises to deter and detect security breaches

  • Manage access control and verify ID for staff, visitors, and contractors

  • Respond quickly to alarms and emergencies in a calm, effective manner

  • Maintain detailed logs and incident reports

  • Conduct regular internal and external security checks

  • Operate CCTV and other monitoring equipment

  • Enforce site-specific procedures and health & safety regulations

  • Support protection of classified materials and sensitive infrastructure

  • Liaise with emergency services and site management as needed

Qualifications

Key Requirements:

  • Must be a British citizen by birth, or have held a British passport for at least 5 years

  • Hold a valid SIA licence

  • Must be able to obtain SC (Security Clearance)

  • 5-year checkable work history is required

  • Flexible to work days, nights, and weekends
