Are you a talented and experienced Paralegal with 2–3 years of hands-on employment law experience? Are you ready to take the next step in your legal career within a fast-paced, high-profile in-house legal team?

We’re looking for a Senior Paralegal – Employment Law to join our dynamic legal department. In this pivotal role, you’ll work closely with our in-house Employment Lawyer, supporting a diverse and high-volume caseload. From complex tribunal preparations to strategic case assessments, you’ll be at the heart of legal operations, helping to deliver robust, pragmatic advice across the business.

Job Description

  • Managing our employment law inbox and ensuring smooth information flow between stakeholders
  • Conducting initial claim assessments, checking ACAS compliance, and verifying jurisdiction
  • Summarising case merits and advising on potential legal strategy
  • Coordinating document collection and case file organisation for tribunal matters
  • Drafting tribunal submissions, including Grounds of Resistance and procedural applications
  • Supporting witness statement preparation and handling the disclosure process
  • Preparing and reviewing tribunal bundles, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Diarising critical deadlines and tracking tribunal outcomes
  • Conducting legal research and preparing briefing notes
  • Liaising with counsel and preparing hearing briefs
  • Attending tribunal hearings to provide real-time legal support and note-taking
  • Reporting monthly on employment case trends and legal activity

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years' solid experience in employment law within a legal or in-house environment
  • A strong working knowledge of Employment Tribunal procedure, case management, and employment legislation
  • Proven ability to draft legal documents and manage electronic case systems
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with sharp attention to detail
  • Confidence to manage your own caseload with appropriate supervision
  • Experience working in a commercial environment (ideal but not essential)

Essential Qualification

  • CILEX Professional Qualification (CPQ), GDL, or LLB (or equivalent)
