We are looking for a highly driven Business Development Manager to focus 100% on generating new business—identifying, targeting, and winning new clients. Once secured, you’ll continue to manage and develop these accounts, ensuring long-term partnerships and continued revenue growth.

The role...

As a National Business Development Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving growth, winning high-value accounts, and expanding market presence You will proactively identify, target, and acquire new business opportunities through self-driven prospecting, networking, and referrals. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong sales skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of market dynamics and customer needs.

What you will do...

  • Develop a strategic approach to pipeline management, ensuring a steady flow of high-value leads.
  • Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends, emerging customer needs, and competitor activity.
  • Develop bespoke security solutions tailored to each client’s evolving needs.
  • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within managed accounts to maximise revenue.
  • Negotiate and close deals, ensuring profitable margins while meeting customer needs.
  • Take full ownership of new accounts post-sale. Build and maintain long-term, trust-based relationships with clients, acting as their key point of contact.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to promote new services and innovations to existing customers.
  • Ensure all business transactions comply with industry regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

What you will need...

  • Proven track record of winning new business, consistently exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong ability to generate leads, prospect effectively, and close high-value deals.
  • Experience in strategic account planning, identifying client pain points, and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Confident negotiator who can influence decision-makers and secure long-term contracts.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Security and Fire & Detection solutions (CCTV, Access Control, Fire, Intruder).
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical clients, bridging the gap between solutions and business needs.
  • Strong communication skills to maintain ongoing engagement, trust, and loyalty with clients.
  • Ability to seamlessly transition new business into ongoing account management, maximising lifetime value.
  • Commercially astute, with the ability to assess market trends and competitor activity.
  • Strong understanding of margin optimisation, pricing strategies, and profitability analysis.
  • Experience using CRM systems to track sales pipelines.
