Job Description
We are looking for a talented Manager, Integration Engineering to join our growing global team at Sectigo.
The Manager, Integration Engineer will build and drive integration engineering capability from our India GCC. This team owns our engineering-led approach to third-party and platform integrations, starting with our ServiceNow implementation and a new pilot integrating PSA (Professional Services Automation) marketplace platforms into our core platform. This leader is genuinely AI-native by integrating AI tools daily in how we code, test, document, and make decisions.
Please Note: The Reporting Manager and the Work Arrangement requirements may be modified and redesigned based on business needs to ensure operational flexibility and organizational effectiveness.
Here are the core functions, responsibilities, and expectations for this role:
Build the team, from zero
- Define team structure and hiring plan for a new Integration Engineering org in Chennai.
- Own a blended workforce model: manage specialized consultants and a contracting team, with a contract-to-hire approach as the default and direct hiring for key roles where warranted.
- Recruit, onboard, and develop engineers; set the technical bar and team culture from day one. Own integration engineering delivery
- Take ownership of the ServiceNow workstream already underway, including a candid retrospective on what hasn't worked so far.
- Stand up the engineering model for the Pax8/ConnectWise marketplace/PSA integration pilot, in partnership with specialized consultants and the core platform team.
- Build this into a repeatable capability as the integration portfolio grows beyond these two initiatives. Define the operating model with core platform engineering
- Partner directly with the core platform engineering leadership to define architecture and integration patterns, required APIs/workflows, source-code access boundaries, development standards, and the technical point-of-contact model between teams.
- Push for a model where the core platform team focuses on the platform and exposes clean APIs/capabilities, while your team builds and owns integrations on top not one where core teams build every integration themselves. Lead as an AI-native engineering manager
- Use AI tools yourself, day to day for design exploration, code review, testing, documentation, and even parts of people/project management and set that as the visible norm for the team, not an optional add-on.
- Build documentation, API contracts, and integration patterns that are discoverable and usable by AI agents, not just humans.
- Create an engineering environment where AI increasingly assists with implementation, testing, validation, documentation, and knowledge transfer this is a core operating principle for the org from day one, not a future aspiration.
- Actively evaluate and introduce new AI-assisted engineering tools and workflows as they emerge, rather than waiting for direction from above. Operate as a proactive, senior engineering leader
- Work through ambiguity: propose structure, process, and scope rather than waiting for it to be handed to you.
- Partner closely with Product for visibility and alignment, while keeping engineering ownership and decision-making inside engineering.
- Provide regular updates, risks, and recommendations to senior (US-based) engineering leadership, including workforce and contract-to-hire decisions.
- Maintain meaningful overlap with US working hours for real-time collaboration with distributed stakeholders, architects, and product partners.
- Additional tasks associated with this position may be assigned in response to company initiatives and business needs.
More information about this role:
- This is a full-time and in-office position, reporting to our Chennai office 5 days a week.
- This individual may manage a team and will be reporting directly to our General Manager, Chennai Center of Excellence.
- The targeted compensation package for this role is between INR 35,00,000 LPA and INR 40,00,000 LPA. We may make further adjustments through an approval process if the targeted compensation range needs to be modified based on business needs and market trends.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or Engineering; platform or vendor certifications (e.g., ServiceNow, cloud platform, or API-management certifications) is strongly recommended.
Experience:
- Minimum 8+ years in software, systems, or integration engineering, including experience directly managing engineers (as an EM, or as a senior/staff engineer with clear, demonstrable people leadership experience) is required.
- Track record of building or scaling a team from the ground up ideally in a GCC, global captive, or new-site environment, not just growing an existing, well-defined team.
- Hands-on design and administration of API/integration platforms ServiceNow, MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato, Azure Integration Services, or comparable including workflow, connector, and access design is required.
- Familiarity with the PSA (Professional Services Automation) ecosystem tools like ConnectWise, Autotask, Kaseya, or similar and how MSPs/partners consume vendor integrations through them.
- Integration design fundamentals: API contract design, data mapping and transformation, authentication patterns, and designing clean ownership boundaries and handoffs between systems and teams.
- AI-native, hands-on daily, practical use of AI tools in your own workflow (AI coding assistants, agentic dev tools, AI for documentation/testing), with the disposition to keep learning as the tooling changes, in line with our AI-DLC direction.
- ITSM/ticketing and collaboration tooling ServiceNow (or an equivalent ITSM tool) and the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence) for engineering workflow, tracking, and documentation.
- Experience operating in environments with formal change management, compliance requirements, and high security standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001) directly relevant given Sectigo's security/PKI domain.
- Genuine comfort with ambiguity able to create structure, process, and scope where none exists yet, without needing constant top-down direction.
- Ability to establish priorities and work independently with minimal supervision across time zones, with meaningful overlap with US business hours (e.g., available into the evening IST for standups, architecture reviews, and leadership syncs).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across time zones, functions, and seniority levels.
Ideal Candidate Profiles, Talents, and Desired Qualifications:
- An established practice of using an AI assistant inside your engineering workflow change review, log analysis, documentation drafting.
- Relational databases and reporting/BI tools; directory services and access management (Active Directory or equivalent); general network and security concepts relevant to integration architecture.
- PKI and certificate management particularly relevant given Sectigo's core business.
- Prior experience setting up or leading a team inside a Global Capability Center (GCC) in India.
- Experience with contract-to-hire staffing models specifically in the India market.
- Broader background in cybersecurity or certificate/identity infrastructure.
