Job Description
Responsible for maintaining company established budgeted performance metrics (e.g., productivity, confirmation, hot calls and Confirmed Leads Per Hour (CLPH); asking appropriate questions (as defined in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and related training) to determine customer needs and interests in scheduling an appointment; responding appropriately (rebut) to soft objections or concerns as defined in the SOP and related training; and maintaining and meeting scheduling requirements established at time of hire or as agreed upon between supervisor and associate.
Job Responsibilities
- Approaches and greets each customer in a professional manner, and thanks customers for shopping at Sears
- Maintains a positive mental attitude at all times and handle each customer (internal and external) in a polite, professional manner
- Maintains a general knowledge of Sears’s retail store layout in order to direct customers to specific departments
- Supports store sales events by handing out flyers to create customer awareness of store promotions and special store events
- Creates awareness of the Shop Your Way Rewards (SYWR) program and direct customers to store associate for enrollment (ACRONYM?)
- Directs customer complaints/concerns to appropriate parties
- Assists in training new team members
- Reports hours worked and lead information on a daily basis
- Calls in leads to the Appointment Center at the end of each shift
- Faxes time sheet and customer report at end of the shift on the last day worked for the week

Requirements
- Ability to persuade, with minimum selling skills
- Ability to be a self-starter, with the ability to stay focused on goals and be self-disciplined
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude while handling rejection
- Ability to write legibly
- Above average verbal communication skills
- Ability to work a varied work schedule to meet the needs of the business
- Ability to have reliable transportation
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
