We’re led by an eccentric CEO, a seasoned 30 year start-up veteran taking us on a ride where no single day repeats. Unlike other startup founders still learning the basics in the online playground, he’s been there, done it before, got the t-shirt, sold it for millions and moved onto the next thing. That next thing now is Jurni.

We’re looking for an experienced Front End Engineer who is passionate about creating products that feel beautiful to use. Someone who obsesses over the detail and loves clean, organised, well tested code.

You’ll fit into a founding team which includes Product Managers, a Web Engineer, Data Engineer, Finance, Operations Manager and CEO. You’re the only Front End Engineer in the house, so you’ll take the lead when it comes all things front end.

What does this mean you’ll do?

1. Translate the designs into front end code

2. Use optimal front end web standards, tools and scripts

3. Provide guidance to the team about what is achievable when it comes to UX and UI

4. Collaborate with product manager, product designer and the development team to create beautiful user interfaces

5. Monitor and ensure the code is of high quality

6. Take responsibility for the performance and reliability of the front end

7. Cross browser / platform testing

8. Write unit tests (and make sure they pass)

9. Integrate with in-house and 3rd party APIs

10. Participate in sprint planning sessions, daily standups and retrospectives – yes, we run an Agile process
