Job Description

Sea Breeze is seeking a hardworking, dependable Production Line Operator to support our food manufacturing and packaging operations.

This is a hands-on position responsible for operating, setting up, monitoring, and maintaining food packaging and processing equipment throughout the production process. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, be comfortable working around machinery, and be able to identify and troubleshoot basic equipment issues.

The Production Line Operator will work as part of the production team to help maintain an efficient, safe, and consistent manufacturing operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, change over, adjust, operate, and monitor packaging and processing equipment.

  • Identify and troubleshoot basic mechanical or operating issues to maintain consistent equipment performance and product flow.

  • Perform routine equipment checks, basic preventative maintenance, lubrication, and minor repairs as needed.

  • Safely use hand tools and light power tools when working with production equipment.

  • Follow production procedures, manufacturing specifications, food safety, quality, sanitation, and GMP requirements.

  • Assist with cleaning and sanitation of production equipment and maintain a clean, safe work area.

  • Complete basic production documentation and use computer systems as required.

  • Communicate equipment or production concerns to management and work effectively with other staff.

  • Assist with other production-related duties as needed.

Schedule

  • Monday – Friday

  • Regular schedule approximately 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM

  • Some Saturday overtime may be required

  • Flexibility to adjust work hours based on production needs is an asset

Compensation & Benefits

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment preferred

  • Experience operating food packaging or processing equipment is strongly preferred

  • Strong mechanical aptitude

  • Comfortable working with production machinery and equipment

  • Ability to set up, adjust, and monitor production equipment

  • Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical and equipment issues

  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems, electronics, controls, electricity, or pneumatics is an asset

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team

  • Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude

  • Ability to follow food safety, quality, and sanitation procedures

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical production work

  • Must pass a drug test

  • Subject to completion of a background check in accordance with applicable law.
