Job Description

Sea Breeze is seeking a hardworking, self-motivated, and detail-oriented Quality Team Associate to join our Quality Assurance department. This position plays a key role in ensuring product safety, consistency, and compliance with company and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable working both in a laboratory setting and on the production floor in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine laboratory analyses including refractometer Brix testing, pH analysis, and titration (training provided if needed).

Conduct sensory evaluations to ensure flavor, appearance, and overall product quality meet company standards.

Assist with basic microbiological plating and environmental monitoring procedures.

Prepare samples for testing and maintain proper documentation of results.

Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment according to established procedures.

Manage and maintain quality-related data within the company ERP system, including creation and review of quality records.

Develop, review, and maintain quality control specifications and documentation.

Coordinate with production to ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards.

Assist with ingredient and finished product documentation, certifications, and regulatory requirements as needed.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and help identify opportunities to enhance quality processes.

 

Qualifications

Must have a positive attitude and enjoy working collaboratively.

Ability to pass a drug test and background check

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Comfortable working in a manufacturing and laboratory environment

Basic computer and technology skills

Mechanical aptitude is a plus

Ability to take initiative and work independently while contributing to a team

Good communication and people skills

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or a related field preferred but not required

Previous laboratory, food manufacturing, or quality assurance experience is a plus

Additional Information

Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 6:00am–3:00pm
Some Saturday overtime may be required
Flexibility to adjust schedule based on production needs is a plus

Pay & Benefits:

$35 per hour
