The Team
Commercial, Financial and Infrastructure (CFI) Advisory
You will join Scyne’s Commercial, Financial and Infrastructure (CFI) practice. Our team works at the intersection of public policy, economics, strategy, service design and infrastructure, helping clients address complex strategic, operational and financial challenges to improve performance and create sustainable value.
CFI brings together deep expertise in infrastructure advisory and delivery, actuarial analysis, financial optimisation, restructuring and dispute processes. This integrated approach enables us to deliver enhanced strategic and commercial outcomes, optimised financial performance and enhanced sustainability.
Our work is broad and multidisciplinary. It can include public policy and strategy, economic and options analysis, service planning, operating model and organisational design, business cases and investment planning, financial advisory, infrastructure strategy, commercial advice, implementation planning and major project advisory.
We work across sectors that matter to communities, including health, education, housing, justice, transport, energy and utilities and social infrastructure, supporting clients to navigate complex problems where policy, services, people, funding and infrastructure intersect.
We bring together people with diverse professional backgrounds, including consulting, government, public policy, economics, finance, strategy, law, and infrastructure, and value the different perspectives and experiences they bring to our work.
Our team is growing and we are looking for a graduate to join our team in Adelaide.
The Role
As a Graduate in our Commercial, Financial and Infrastructure team, you won’t be sitting on the sidelines. You’ll dive straight into real-world projects that shape Australian organisations and public-purpose outcomes.
Day to Day, you will
- Work across infrastructure, major projects and the services they enable, including health, housing, transport, energy and utilities, and sport and entertainment.
- Support strategic, operational and performance reviews through research, data analysis, benchmarking and financial analysis to identify key insights and improvement opportunities.
- Analyse organisational performance to identify opportunities to grow revenue, reduce costs, improve productivity and strengthen financial sustainability.
- Contribute to operating model and organisational design engagements by analysing structures, processes, governance, capabilities and service delivery arrangements.
- Support the development of strategies and practical recommendations that address complex organisational, commercial and infrastructure challenges.
- Develop capabilities in strategic problem-solving, investment planning and decision-making, including transactions involving government, not-for-profit and private sector organisations.
- Build strong economic analysis, financial modelling and project finance capabilities, applying quantitative and qualitative analysis to assess options, evaluate impacts and support evidence-based decisions.
- Translate analysis and insights into high-quality business cases, executive briefs, reports, presentations, board papers and implementation roadmaps.
- Develop strong written, verbal, visual and data communication skills, including the ability to craft clear narratives that influence decisions and resonate with diverse stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes, build trusted relationships and create a positive client experience.
- Contribute to proposals, business development and internal initiatives that support the continued growth of the Strategic Performance Improvement team.
- Take an active role in your own development, continuously building and expanding your skills and capabilities while contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team.
Qualifications
To be eligible to apply you need to:
- Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
- Have completed or be completing a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with a focus on finance, economics, business, commerce, engineering, law in either 2025 or 2026
- Prior working experience in Strategy / Consulting related roles, internships or placements would be highly regarded
- Be able to commence in March 2027.
