Job Description
As a Quality Technician, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring every product meets our high standards for safety, quality, and sustainability.
This hands-on position is perfect for someone with a sharp eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a solid electrical background. You’ll need to be confident working on electrical items, interpreting electrical drawings, and applying your technical expertise to maintain product integrity.
Your responsibilities will include inspecting incoming, outgoing, and returned goods, analysing faults, and collaborating across teams to resolve issues. Beyond inspections, you’ll contribute to product rework and help drive continuous improvement in our QA systems and processes.
Qualifications
- Relevant trade qualification or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
 - 2+ years’ experience in quality assurance, inspection, testing, or assembly within an electrical/electronics manufacturing environment.
 - Strong electrical knowledge, including the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and product specifications.
 - Full working rights in Australia
 
Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming goods from suppliers and generate detailed inspection reports.
 - Release conforming goods and quarantine non-conforming items.
 - Inspect in-house manufactured products and document findings.
 - Analyse rejected components and prepare defect reports.
 - Book and confirm returned goods from customers, including fault analysis reporting.
 - Liaise with Production, Warehouse, Purchasing, Engineering, Aftersales, to resolve quality issues.
 - Recommend and implement corrective and preventive actions for quarantined goods, rejected components, and returned items.
 - Perform repairs and rework on returned products.
 - Ensure all products meet relevant safety and quality standards.
 - Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation in a timely manner.
 - Address quality issues and generate supplier/internal corrective action reports.
 - Support deployment of QA systems, policies, and procedures, and suggest process improvements.
