Job Description

The SchoolMint Special Projects team implements the SchoolMint product as part of large-scale initiatives to streamline K-12 admissions and enrollment across cities and states. We work directly with key stakeholders to map out existing processes and create elegant solutions within SchoolMint to improve those processes. As a liaison between SchoolMint and customers, the Project Manager will be an expert at understanding customer needs, crafting and communicating solutions that meet those needs and providing day-to-day oversight of project timelines to support a successful launch.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of the SchoolMint platform with key enterprise clients including large districts

  • Work with customers, sales, and product team members to understand project scope and requirements to develop a well articulated project plan to drive the project to success

  • Manage the timelines and dependencies of the implementation and communicate regularly with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure the on-time delivery of the solution

  • Lead client calls and customer communications

  • Drive and document key decisions, dependencies and risks as needed

  • Lead the requirements gathering process with implementation manager, product management and engineering to scope out and schedule custom development work

  • Leverage internal resources to support complex deployments, knowing when to engage them on client conversations and when to be judicious

  • Manage the delivery of custom development work to meet client requirements

  • Demo work as needed

  • Facilitate and grow relationships with our customers and monitor customer health through the use of data and other qualitative methods

  • Feel comfortable managing a scope

  • Feel comfortable with the art of saying No when appropriate

  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and learn our software solution

  • Some client travel required (<20% of time)



  • BA or BS degree or higher

  • Professional training and/or demonstrated experience in project management required

  • 5-7 years experience in a client-facing project management/implementation management at a technology company

  • Experience with project management and collaboration tools (e.g. Asana, SmartSheet)

  • Advanced time management and analytical skills

  • Excellent client-facing communication skill

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to inspire others on the value of SchoolMint’s solution

  • Analytical and process-oriented mindset

  • Demonstrated ability to manage large, multi-stakeholder projects with exceptional results

  • PMP Certification

  • Education field experience, operations experience working in a public school/district, and/or edtech experience

  • SAAS software configuration experience

  • Moderate to advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge and use for working with data sets

  • Product management experience (directly or working with product team)

  • Background in technology

  • SQL experience

  • Knowledge of Pivotal Tracker, ZenDesk and/or Salesforce

  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
