The current admissions and communications process between parents and school administrators is inefficient and outdated. SchoolMint’s mission is to streamline and modernize that system so that everyone can get back to what they do best - helping our kids succeed!
SchoolMint provides a cloud-based student enrollment and school choice platform to PreK-12 independent, charter, and district schools. Since its founding in 2013, more than 3000 schools worldwide have chosen SchoolMint to streamline student registration and re-enrollment, application and lottery management, universal enrollment and school choice, and digital forms and document uploads. Our team consists of folks who have trained at MIT, Harvard, USC, UC Berkeley, and Stanford and have previously worked at The Climate Corporation, Edmodo, Apple, Pearson, and Teach For America. Headquartered in San Francisco, SchoolMint is well funded by reputable venture capital firms such as New Schools Venture Fund, Crosslink Capital, Kapor Capital, and Imagine K12 as well as some amazing angel investors pioneering the technology and education world.
At SchoolMint we work hard to build and maintain a diverse and inclusive culture and work environment, because we understand how advantageous diversity is to our employees, our product, and our communities.
SchoolMint is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and workplace. We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, ethnicity, color, ancestry, religion, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, or Veteran status. If you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation, please let us know.
We’re searching for an amazing part-time Office Coordinator who can help our super busy, and quickly growing, team on weekday mornings, Monday through Friday, from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Full Disclosure: this is not an easy job. On any given day you’ll be asked to be sure the phones are answered and the kitchen is fully stocked and tidy, coordinate travel plans, plan an office happy hour, coordinate the grocery delivery, order lunch for the office, research and plan team-building activities, and maintain a smiling face and helpful demeanor at our reception desk. We’re a startup and we run like one—fast and lean. You need to be energetic, eager to contribute, and ready to hit the ground running. There is a ton of opportunity for you to take the reigns and turn this into your dream job in Operations, but to do that, you’ll need to excel at the following from day one:
Food Management: Manage our daily catered lunch. Ensure our pantry is stocked and coordinate smoothies, chai tea cart tastings, etc.
Office Maintenance: Coordinate repairs and improvements, and own the responsibility of keeping our office pleasant and clean.
Admin: Welcome visitors, handle the mail, order office supplies, etc., answer the phone, buzz people into the building.
Budgeting: Work within the established budget for all of the above and come up with creative ways to stretch it, or prioritize things appropriately.
Culture: Plan activities including happy hours, birthday and anniversary celebrations, outings, and holiday parties.
- Help coordinate travel for colleagues across multiple departments.
You’re friendly, with above average communication skills (both written and oral).
You are calm under pressure and can handle stressful situations with a pleasant demeanor.
You’re fluent in Google Docs, Dropbox, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and tech doesn’t scare you.
